Four Days Makes A Dozen

Here are the past two days' worth of eggs. Lucky is currently molting, thanks to the swiftly changing temperatures and shorter days so we won't be seeing any white eggs for a few weeks. But that's okay. We're getting at least three eggs a day and once she starts laying again it will only take us three days to make a dozen eggs. And if all five of them lay in a day we'll make a dozen every two and a half days. Anybody want a fresh dozen?

so is that the difference between brown and white eggs, weather or not they're molting? Congrats on your cool egg factories (and ready-made Easter eggs!)

Martha Stewart colors, for sure! Grandma Stout

That is a cool bunch of eggs! Do they taste the same? Do they work in recipes the same? Maybe you should start selling your novelty eggs. You could probably get a lot of money for your free range, all natural eggs.

FYI--Why blue eggs? Maybe to measure maternal antibodies...see the 'Blue is better' blurb

Cool. If we are around much longer I may take some.

That really is awesome. You've got to blow a few of them as keepsakes.

They're so pretty! Does that make it harder to crack them and throw them away?

Super cool! Would you consider those red or brown eggs? I can't tell from the picture and if they are red, I have never seen red eggs.
