Bruiser

With what looks like two black eyes and a goose-egg on his forehead you might think we've been beating the poor boy. But really he's just a bruiser, a mighty Tonka trunk with absolutely no fear, not even of pain. And is it any wonder I start hyperventilating when I loose sight of him? Seriously, nothing sends me into a panic attack faster than not knowing where Caleb is. His latest endeavors include breaking our drinking glasses and playing with the remaining shards of glass until he's bleeding all over the place and falling head first off of furniture. Yesterday he was all set to jump head first into our fire pit and I don't even want to know what his plans are for today. Heaven help us!

Egads! Does he not feel pain at all? Seriously, I think it's time for kennel training.

Please, please, please, let this child in my belly be as cautious and careful as my daughter and not a inch of the boy qualities of my son...

Zach is at the same age. Thankfully He hasn't found much around the hpouse to get into major trouble with. This morning I started putting him in a pack-n-play in front of the TV with his favorite trucks and a sippy. He's pretty content to hang out there until my shower is over and sometimes longer. It's very helpful when I have to nurse Aurora or make dinner. My high Chair has also been a pain saver. That is how I am able to read blogs and post today. Lover the buckles. I'll even buckle him in his car seat when I have to load the car/get ready for church etc before we need to go and leave it in the garage with the car door open and let him watch TV for a few minutes until we are all packed and ready to go.

He does hava a black eye now from hi tonka dump truck. He fell into the back corner of it.

I've also considered trying to fit him back into that excersaucer if all else fails.

When we are outside I have to be sure it's when Aurora is sleeping and have the portable baby monitor with me to hear her, but I have to be able to pay attention only to him so he doesn't run out into the street or find other dangerous things to get into.
