Natural Torture

Today is the first day of Spring Break and Mother Nature gave me this. . .

four inches of rain and a soggy forecast. I suppose she never had six little boys in cramped quarters for an extended period of time. How terribly thoughtless! Normally it wouldn't be so bad. We'd go on rain walks and fish for worms and hit the aquarium or the movie theatre or something. But rain walks have been done away with since the arrival of Mr. Hell on Wheels (Caleb) and with three babies in tow, let's just say we don't go out much. Just the thought of loading everyone up makes me want to curl up in a ball and suck my thumb. This week is going to be very, very, VERY long.

Hmmm... mud wrestling? Mud pies? Mud huts? Then you can just hose 'em down when they're done. No?

My Sis IL Kim, mentioned to me a backpack from walmart with a tail like a leash that you can use to keep little ones like my Zach and your caleb from running off. I saw these in use at the local Theme park on saturday and i think it might be useful for those walks.

I went out to the yard with Hunter, Denver, and Caleb on Monday. Caleb immediately made a beeline for the pictured puddle, and did a "Maniac" dance in it. It was chilly, especially with wet hands and feet (and shoes, pants, etc), but all three stayed out for half an hour, running, splashing, and slipping.
